Jackie Chung’s ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Finale Teaser Has Fans ‘Scared’

The Summer I Turned Pretty finale is almost here and Jackie Chung is getting fans ready with a teaser about what to expect.

When Chung, who plays Belly’s mom Laurel on the show, talked to SheKnows about the last ever episode of the show, she described it as being filled with “drama,” “love” and “family.”

Of course, Chung couldn’t give too much away about the upcoming episode, which airs on September 17. And she certainly couldn’t reveal whether her on-screen daughter, Belly (Lola Tung), ends up with Conrad (Christopher Briney) or Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).

However, Chung did give her thoughts on the infamous love triangle.

“My stance is that Belly is young, and she has a lot of time to find the right person, and she doesn’t need to decide right now,” the actress said. “She should just focus on herself and her studies, and then she’ll figure it out eventually.”

Chung’s teaser was enough to make fans nervous about the conclusion of the hit Prime Video show. When we shared a clip of Chung’s interview on TikTok, fans took to the comments, saying, “this scares me” and “suddenly my stomach is in knots.”

“If the love isn’t between Conrad and Belly I’m going to crash out,” wrote another. The nerves are high for The Summer I Turned Pretty fans!

Ahead of the finale, Belly is living a new life in Paris after calling off her wedding to Jeremiah. She’s working, making new friends and navigating homesickness while Jeremiah is back home struggling to process the breakup.

With Belly choosing to extend her stay in Paris, Jeremiah and Conrad reconcile before the oldest of the Fisher brothers decides he’s going to pay Belly a visit in France.

The ending of the show has already deviated pretty drastically from the books so, as you can imagine, fans are on the edge of their seats. Jenny Han, The Summer I Turned Pretty author and executive producer of the show, recently teased the finale to Entertainment Weekly. “There is so much that is going to surprise fans about how much we’re showing of Belly in Paris and the whole ending,” she said, adding that Episode 11 is “not just an epilogue.”

We quite literally can not wait.
